Starting with a good face wash to cleanse your face, choose a moisturizer that suits your skin type. Remember these 3 basic steps before any make-up CTM i.e. Cleanse, tone and moisturize.
A moisturizer will help your skin smoothening out any bumps and dry skin which helps in applying the foundation nicely. Use a primer or pore minimizer according to your needs. Check out Smashbox’s primirizer and benefit cosmetics professional for pore minimizer.

Firstly for this, you will have to be clear what kind of look you want, is it a day time event, day to day look, etc depending on the function. Foundation comes in different types – liquid, mousse, powder and cushion. There are different types of coverage also like light, medium and full cover foundation with different finishes like matte, dewy and natural. Know what you are expecting from the look, be it day to day or an important function. Select your foundation wisely as it is the base of the make-up.
